This sword is a piece of niedeki Soshu-den, which is the specialty of the Gassan family. The hada is a well-defined itame, with a burnished notare hamon reminiscent of gentle waves. Small, shiny grains of niedeki glitter around the rim of the hamon, and the engraving by Sadanobu himself also complements this piece.
